Program Coordinator Northeast and New England
Matthew Agar is a Program Coordinator for Project Nur, a student-led initiative advocating for social justice by empowering responsible leaders to cultivate an environment of acceptance and mutual respect between Muslims and all communities. A graduate of American University in Washington, DC with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies, Matthew has passion and experience as a scholar of interfaith dialogue, a practitioner of grassroots conflict resolution, and a policy researcher on international development. Through his work with Project Nur, Matthew intends to use an interdisciplinary and global approach to mend the divide between diverse communities in the United States with empathy and tolerance. He will be applying his systematic and international approach to expanding the positive impact and scope of Project Nur National and individual PN chapters in the Northeast and New England regions of the country.
